FILMMAKING INSTRUCTOR / CINEMATOGRAPHER

Britt McTammany is an Emmy Award-winning film and TV professional with over 35 years of experience in production and post-production.
 
A Florida native, he began his career as a music composer and was one of the first AVID editors in Florida. As president of Digital Video Arts (DVA), a production company that became a leading force in Jacksonville for over 20 years, he led a talented staff of artists that served high-profile clients like Ford, Sony, ABC, CBS, the Cleveland Clinic and more.
 
In 2019, Britt won an Emmy Award for cinematography working on a documentary short for the Jacksonville Jaguars. His feature film debut, The Artifice Girl, premiered at the Fantasia International Film Festival in 2024 where it won the Golden Audience Award and was nominated for the John Cassavetes Film Independent Spirit Award. The Artifice Girl also garnered over half a dozen awards from film festivals around the world further cementing its success.
 
Britt’s collaboration with filmmaker Franklin Ritch on over a dozen of projects, including The Artifice Girl, highlights their shared vision and commitment to compelling storytelling.
 
With expertise spanning from sound design to cinematography, Britt brings a unique technical and artistic approach to every project. Britt continues to work on feature film projects with a passion for creating stories that are both cinematic and meaningful!
